Is this a political internship?

No. Youth for Governance is a civic leadership fellowship focused on understanding public administration, citizen engagement, and governance processes. It is not a political campaign or party internship.

How much time does the fellowship require?

The fellowship runs for 12 weeks and requires a serious, consistent time commitment. Fellows are expected to participate in field deployments, meetings, and assigned responsibilities as part of a structured schedule.

Is there a stipend?

Yes. Selected Fellows receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 for the duration of the fellowship, subject to active participation and adherence to program guidelines.

Who is this program meant for?

The fellowship is designed for youth aged 18–24 years, primarily from Janakpuri, who are interested in governance, public service, and contributing responsibly to their community.

What kind of work will Fellows do?

Fellows engage in field surveys, citizen outreach, research, events, and data analysis, contributing directly to governance-related initiatives at the constituency level.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Fellows who successfully complete the program receive a formal Certificate of Completion.

What happens after the fellowship ends?

High-performing Fellows may be considered for future civic roles, including research assistance, ward-level coordination, or continued engagement with governance initiatives.

Is prior experience in governance required?

No. The program is designed to train and expose motivated youth. Commitment, discipline, and willingness to learn are more important than prior experience.

How are Fellows selected?

Selection is based on applications, shortlisting, and interviews, assessing intent, seriousness, and alignment with the program's values.
